Where the data comes from
Every number on this site comes from a public record or a public data feed. Here is each source, what we use it for, and what to be careful about. If you ever want to check something, start here.
The rules we follow
- Everything is dated and sourced, and we only add to the record; we never overwrite the past.
- If we only hold the years on either side of a change, we say it happened "between" those years. We never guess a single year.
- The wording says what the record says. It never draws conclusions about people.
- We never show owner names, or the names of buyers or sellers.
